"Relented" se usa frecuentemente al describir un cambio de negarse o ser estricto a finalmente ceder. Se utiliza con personas, el clima o reglas. Es menos formal que 'acquiesced', pero más formal que 'gave in'. No confundir con 'repented' (arrepentirse).
