Definition

습지나 호숫가에 자라는 길고 가는 풀로, 돗자리나 바구니, 악기 부품 등에 사용됨.

주로 복수로 사용됨. 'a bed of reeds', 'reeds growing by the lake' 등에서 자연스럽게 쓰임. 악기에서는 '리드'라고 별도로 부름.

The reeds grow tall by the river.

강가에 **갈대**가 길게 자란다.
