人口の変化に合わせて、選挙区の境界線を変更する手続き。

主に政治や法律の話題で使われ、特にアメリカの事例で多いです。「gerrymandering」と共に用いられることもあります。選挙区以外の区分変更には使いません。通常は不可算名詞です。
