人や資源を新しい場所や役割に再び配置または配属すること。主に業務や人員が別の業務や場所へ割り当てられる場合に使う。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に職場や軍事、組織などのフォーマルな場面で使う語です。単なる「移動」ではなく、新しい目的や役割のために配置し直す意味です。多くは受け身形で使います：「was redeployed＝再配置された」。
