Definition

土地や資源を本来の状態や使える状態に戻すこと。多くは環境復旧や土地開発などに使われる言葉です。

主に環境・工業・法的な分野で使われます。「land reclamation（土地の再生）」「water reclamation（水の再利用）」などの表現に多いです。「claim（権利などの主張）」とは異なります。

The city plans a reclamation project to restore the old industrial site.
