Resepsiyonistler, işletmelerin girişinde ziyaretçileri karşılayan, telefonlara yanıt veren ve temel ihtiyaçlara yardımcı olan kişilerdir.

Çoğunlukla otel, ofis veya kliniklerin girişinde görev yapan çalışanları tanımlar. Yönetici değildirler; müşteriyle yüz yüze çalışan, idari görevleri olur. 'hotel receptionists', 'friendly receptionists', 'front desk staff' gibi ifadelerde geçer.
