物事の形や構成、意味を変えること。特に役者を交代させたり、考え方を新しい形で示す場合に使われる。

'recasting'は主に演劇や映画で配役を変更する場合や、学術で論点を新しく構成し直す際に使われます。'rewriting'（書き直し）や'remaking'（作り直し）とは異なります。
