Definition

略奪者とは、特に歴史やファンタジーの作品で村や町を襲って財宝や物資を奪う集団や人物のことです。多くは暴力的な侵略者や海賊として描かれます。

現代の犯罪者や強盗には使いません。『raiders』や『pirates』と似た意味ですが、『reaver』はより古風でドラマチックな印象です。ファンタジーや歴史物に特有の表現です。
