牛や馬などの家畜を育てるための大規模な農場。『ranches』は『ranch』の複数形。

複数形のみで使います。1つの場合は「a ranch」となります。「cattle ranch」のようなフレーズでよく使われます。アメリカでは主に家畜用の農場を指し、作物の農場とは異なります。

Many ranches in Texas raise cattle.
