Definition
Las vigas del techo son piezas largas e inclinadas de madera o metal que sostienen y forman la estructura de un techo. Van desde la parte superior de una pared hasta el pico del techo.

La palabra se usa mayormente en contextos de construcción y arquitectura, casi siempre en plural. En inglés, la frase 'up in the rafters' puede referirse tanto a las vigas como a lugares altos dentro de un edificio.
