Normalmente refere-se a torres de eletricidade ('electricity pylon') ou grandes marcadores em aeroportos e estradas. Não é usado para postes pequenos. Em inglês americano, pode significar cone de trânsito, mas no britânico refere-se a estruturas grandes.
