Definition

국가를 구성하는 행정 구역 중 하나로, 대개 수도나 주요 도시 이외의 지역을 의미합니다.

'provincial'은 도시와 구분되는 시골적 의미로도 쓰임. 국가에 따라 '주', '도' 등 용어가 다를 수 있음.
