特定の問題や状況について、強く不満や反対意見を表明すること。多くの場合、公に行われます。

'about' の後に問題の対象が続きます。個人でも集団でも使え、公的・私的、または書面でも使われます。'protest to'（誰かに向けて抗議する）とは違うので注意。
