proof 指能證明某事屬實的資訊、證據或明確跡象。它也可以指文本在印刷前經過檢查的最終校樣。

Usage Notes (Chinese (Traditional))

在日常英語中，proof 表示「證據」時通常是不可數名詞：說 'Do you have proof?'，而不是通常說 'a proof'。但在數學和邏輯中，'a proof' 是可數的。常見搭配有 'proof of identity', 'proof that...', 'no proof', 'solid proof'。在出版語境中，proof 也可指印刷前的校樣。
