ある出来事や状態（特に悪いこと）になりやすい性質や傾向があること。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に悪いことに使われます（'prone to errors'＝ミスをしがち）。後ろは名詞または動詞のing形が続きます。良い傾向には使いません。
