Definition
Uçurum, çok dik ya da neredeyse dik bir kaya kenarı veya tehlikeli bir yüksek sınırdır. Aynı zamanda tehlikeli bir durum için de mecazi anlamda kullanılır.
Usage Notes (Turkish)
'Uçurum' genellikle resmi, edebi ya da mecazi anlatımlarda kullanılır. Küçük yükseklikler için uygun değildir. 'On the precipice of...' gibi kalıplarla sıkça geçer.
