指雨連綿不斷地下得很大，也可比喻液體大量快速流下。

多用於形容下大雨，屬口語用法，例如 'It's pouring down.' 也可形容其他液體大量流下，但較少見。不要和 'rain cats and dogs' 混淆，兩者都是大雨，但 'pour down' 更直接。
