الاحتمال هو شيء قد يحدث أو قد يكون صحيحًا أو قد يوجد. ويمكن أن يعني أيضًا أحد الخيارات أو النتائج المختلفة التي قد تقع.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

من التراكيب الشائعة: 'there is a possibility that...' و 'a strong/real/slight possibility' و 'leave open the possibility'. في كثير من السياقات تكون هذه الكلمة أكثر رسمية من 'chance'، إذ إن 'chance' أكثر شيوعًا في الكلام اليومي. ولا تخلط بينها وبين 'possible' لأنها صفة.
