খাদ্য, অর্থ, কাজ ইত্যাদি সমানভাবে ভাগ করে দেওয়ার ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহার হয়। 'portion out the food' মানে সবাইকে সমভাবে খাওয়ার ভাগ করে দেওয়া।
