अधिकतर औपचारिक या लिखित भाषा में किताब, दस्तावेज़ या डेटा के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है। इसे 'pour over' (तरल डालना) से न मिलाएँ। आमतौर पर 'pore over + वस्तु' जैसी संरचना में।
