'Ponders' é formal e mais comum na escrita ou linguagem reflexiva. Costuma vir com objetos de pensamento profundo: 'ponders a question', 'ponders her options.' Não confunda com 'wonders' (curiosidade) ou 'considers' (menos profundo).
