Nữ thi sĩ là người phụ nữ sáng tác thơ ca. Từ này hiện nay ít dùng vì mang tính truyền thống, cũ.

Hiện nay, “poet” được dùng cho cả nam và nữ; “nữ thi sĩ” nghe cổ hoặc phân biệt giới tính.
