何かをすばやく、または注意深くある場所から指などで取り出すこと。または、誰かや何かを突然状況から連れ出すことも意味する。

花や果物など手で取れる物や、比喩的に人や考えに対しても使う（例：'無名から引き上げる'）。'取る'や'引き抜く'よりもやや堅く生き生きした表現。
