死んだふりや寝たふりをしたり、何も気づかないふりをすること。たいていはトラブルや注目を避けるために行う。

口語で使う表現。死んだふりだけでなく、トラブル回避のために知らないふりや無関心を装う意味もある。'play dead' よりも回避やずる賢さのニュアンスが強い。
