즐기기 위해 규칙에 따라 게임이나 놀이, 스포츠 등에 참여하는 것. 비디오 게임이나 보드게임, 혹은 야외 스포츠가 포함될 수 있다.

비격식적으로 주로 사용되고, 모든 종류의 게임(보드게임, 스포츠, 비디오게임)에 쓸 수 있다. 'play games with someone'은 때로 관계에서 장난치거나 솔직하지 않다는 의미가 있다.

After school, I like to play games with my friends.
