Definition

এগুলি এমন বড় এলাকা, যেখানে চা, কফি, তুলা ইত্যাদি বাণিজ্যিকভাবে উৎপাদন করা হয়, এবং সাধারণত অনেক শ্রমিক সেখানে কাজ করেন।

'Plantation' সাধারণত বৃহৎ ও সংগঠিত কৃষি খামারের ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয় যেখানে চা, কফি বা তুলার মত অর্থকরী ফসল চাষ করা হয়। এটি ছোট খামার বা সাধারণ খাদ্য ফসলের জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয় না।
