Postes largos y fuertes que se clavan profundamente en el suelo o en el agua para soportar estructuras como edificios, puentes o muelles.
Usage Notes (Spanish)
Se usa principalmente en contextos de construcción, ingeniería y marítimos. Suele aparecer en plural, como en 'dock pilings' (pilotes del muelle). No se refiere a postes pequeños comunes.
