Definition

একটি ভূমি যা কোনো পাহাড় বা পর্বতশ্রেণীর পাদদেশে অবস্থিত। এই ধরনের ভৌগোলিক অঞ্চলের নাম হিসেবেও ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

বিভিন্ন ভূগোল ও ভূতত্ত্ব বিষয়ক আলোচনায় ব্যবহৃত হয়। সাধারণ অর্থে ছোট হাতের অক্ষরে, নির্দিষ্ট অঞ্চলের নাম হিসাবে বড় হাতের অক্ষরে লিখতে হয় ('the Piedmont region')।
