何かを繰り返し勢いよく投げつけたり、雨や石のように何かが激しく当たること。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

激しく何度も物を投げつける時や、雨・雪などが強く降り注ぐ時に使います。一度きりや優しい投げには使いません。
