Definition

足でペダルを踏み、自転車や同じような乗り物を進めたこと。主に自転車に使われ、他のペダル付き機械にも使うことがある。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

'ペダルをこいだ'は主に自転車について使いますが、ペダル式ボートやジムの器具にも使えます。「peddled」（売る）とは別の意味です。
