Bir şeyi veya birini başka bir şeymiş gibi göstererek insanları kandırmak; genellikle aldatma amacıyla kullanılır.

Genellikle gayriresmî ve olumsuz anlamda, aldatma amacıyla kullanılır. 'pass off as' yapısında sıkça görülür (örneğin, 'sahteyi gerçek gibi göstermek'). Sadece 'pass' ile aynı anlamda değildir.
