皮むき削りくず

Definition

果物や野菜の皮をむいたときに出る薄い部分や削りくず。時には、余分な部分を少しずつ削って整える行為も指す。

料理で「りんごの皮」や「じゃがいもの皮むき」などに使われることが多い。単数・複数どちらでも使える。'pairing'（ペアにすること）とは異なる意味なので注意。

I put the apple parings in the compost bin.

りんごの**皮むき**をコンポストに入れました。

She carefully removed the potato parings.
