絵の具や水彩絵の具を収納する箱で、子供や芸術家が絵を描く際によく使います。小さなケースやチューブ入りの場合が多いです。

「絵の具箱」は主に水彩絵の具の入った箱を指します。特に子供の美術道具としてよく使われ、油絵の具やアクリル絵の具にはあまり使いません。
