Definition

어떤 표면 위에 새로운 페인트를 칠해서 기존에 있던 것을 가리거나 없애는 것.

집수리나 미술에서 자주 씀. 잘못된 부분이나 낡은 흔적을 위에 덮어 칠할 때 사용. 단순히 '페인트칠하다'와 구분됨.

She decided to paint over the old graffiti on the wall.

그녀는 벽에 있던 오래된 그래피티를 **위에 칠했다**.

You can't just paint over a dirty surface.

더러운 표면에 그냥 **위에 칠할** 수는 없어.
