Definition
Doktor reçetesine gerek olmadan satın alınabilen ilaç veya ürünler için kullanılır. Ayrıca özel izin olmadan doğrudan satıcıdan alınabilen şeyler için de kullanılabilir.

Genellikle ilaçlar için ('over the counter drugs' = reçetesiz ilaçlar) kullanılır. Finansal anlamda ise borsa yerine doğrudan taraflar arası alışverişte kullanılır.
