"one by one" in Korean

하나씩

Definition

사람이나 사물이 한 번에 모두가 아니라 차례차례로 하나씩 어떤 일을 할 때 쓰인다.

'하나씩'은 주로 동사 뒤에 쓰이며, 상황에 따라 사람, 사물 모두에 사용 가능하다. 'one-on-one'(일대일)와는 다르니 유의.

The children entered the room one by one.

아이들이 **하나씩** 방에 들어왔다.

Please come forward one by one.

앞으로 **하나씩** 나와 주세요.

The apples fell from the tree one by one.

사과가 나무에서 **하나씩** 떨어졌다.

The students gave their presentations one by one until everyone was finished.
