Definition

何かを意図的またはうっかり抜かす、含めないこと。

書き言葉やフォーマルな場面で使われることが多いです。「省く」「削除する」など、'omit details'（詳細を省く）のように使います。受動態（'was omitted'）でもよく見かけます。「emit」と混同しないように注意。

Please do not omit your name on the form.

申込書にあなたの名前を**省かない**でください。

If you omit a step, the recipe will not work.
