Definition

কেউ বা কিছু যখন ব্যস্ত, ব্যবহৃত হচ্ছে, বা কারো দ্বারা দখল করা থাকে। এছাড়াও কোনো স্থানের উপর অন্য দেশের নিয়ন্ত্রণ বোঝাতে ব্যবহার হয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

'occupied' সাধারণত স্থান, বস্তু বা অঞ্চলের জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয় ('The bathroom is occupied', 'an occupied city')। 'occupied with' মানে কোনো কাজে ব্যস্ত থাকা। 'preoccupied' থেকে ভিন্ন—এটি মানসিকভাবে চিন্তিত থাকার অর্থ দেয়।

সিটটি **দখলকৃত**।

The bathroom is occupied right now.

বাথরুমটি এখন **ব্যবহৃত** হচ্ছে।
