집, 차량, 방 등 특정 공간에 거주하거나, 사용하거나, 그곳에 있는 사람이나 동물을 의미합니다.

공식적, 기술적 상황에서 주로 사용됩니다. 'car occupants', 'building occupants' 등으로 쓰이며 소유 여부와 상관없이 그 공간에 있는 사람을 뜻합니다.
