'Obeys' birinin otoritesine, kurallarına veya talimatlarına uymak, onları yerine getirmek anlamına gelir.
Usage Notes (Turkish)
Genellikle resmi dilde, yasa, kural, ebeveyn veya otoriteyle ilgili durumlarda kullanılır. 'obeys the law' gibi ifadeler yaygındır. Zıttı 'disobeys'dir. Cansız nesneler için pek kullanılmaz.
