البسط هو الرقم الموجود في أعلى الكسر، ويبيّن عدد الأجزاء المأخوذة من الكل.

يستخدم فقط في السياقات الرياضية أو الأكاديمية، وغالبًا مع 'المقام'. لا يُستخدم في الحديث اليومي.

In the fraction 3/4, the numerator is 3.

في الكسر ٣/٤، يكون **البسط** هو ٣.

The numerator tells how many parts we have.

**البسط** يبين كم عدد الأجزاء لدينا.

Change the numerator to make a different fraction.
