身體某部分失去感覺，或情感上變得麻木、不在乎的狀態。

可以用來指身體某部份短暫或長期失去感覺，也可形容情感上的冷漠（emotional numbness）。常見如'numbness in my hands'。別與'paralysis'（癱瘓）混淆。
