そっと押すこと僅かな促し

Definition

誰かや何かを優しく押すこと、または無理なく行動を促すこと。

直訳では「そっと押す」ですが、心理的に優しく促す場面（例：やる気を引き出す等）でも使います。「良い方向に促す」などの表現も一般的です。

She is nudging her friend to try the new food.

彼女は友達に新しい料理を食べてみるよう**そっと促している**。
