'Yeni okul' hem yeni açılmış bir okulu hem de özellikle sanat veya müzikte gelenekselden farklı, modern bir akımı ifade edebilir.

Gerçek okul için ya da modern müzik/sanat akımı tarif ederken kullanılır. 'Old school' ile karşılaştırılır. Gayri resmi, pop kültürde çok yaygındır.
