麻薬捜査の警察官を指す俗語で、または他人の薬物犯罪を警察に通報する人を指すこともあります。悪い意味で使われることが多いです。

かなり砕けた表現で、ネガティブな印象が強いです。「narcs」という言葉は、麻薬捜査官の他にチクリ屋（密告者）にも使われます。主に若い世代やスラング会話で使います。
