কাউকে কিছু না বলা বা গোপন রাখা বোঝাতে এই কথাটি বলা হয়।

এটি মজার ও অপ্রাতিষ্ঠানিকভাবে, সাধারণত বন্ধুরা পরস্পরকে বলেন। 'mum' মানে এখানে মা নয়, বরং নীরবতা বোঝায়। আলাপের শেষে 'চুপচাপ!' বলা যেতে পারে।
