雑種犬とは、純血種ではない、さまざまな品種が混ざった犬のことです。主に犬について使われます。

雑種犬はほぼ犬専用の言い方で、人や他の動物には使いません。やや中立的または親しみを込めて使われます。野良犬や保護犬の話題でよく使われます。
