পদটি বেশি লিখিত বা আনুষ্ঠানিক প্রসঙ্গে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'under a misapprehension' বা 'from a misapprehension' এর মতো গঠনে দেখা যায় এবং এটি সাধারণ ভুলের চাইতে গভীর বা দীর্ঘস্থায়ী ভুল বোঝাবুঝি বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
