Definition

「ment」は英語で単独の単語ではなく、「development」や「agreement」のように語尾に付いて動詞を名詞に変える接尾辞です。

「ment」は単語として単独で使われず、必ず他の語の語尾に付きます。'enjoyment'や'movement'のように、あくまで一部として覚えましょう。単独では意味がありません。

The word 'enjoyment' uses the ment suffix.

「enjoy**ment**」という単語は**-ment**接尾辞を使っています。

'Agreement' is another word with the ment suffix.

「agree**ment**」も**-ment**接尾辞の付いた単語です。
