Definition
Dañar algo gravemente aplastándolo, desgarrándolo o retorciéndolo. También puede significar arruinar palabras o idiomas al usarlos mal.

Se usa tanto para daño físico grave ('un coche destrozado') como para errores graves al hablar o escribir ('destrozar una frase'). Es relativamente formal; implica daño severo, no pequeño.
